Karl Lagerfeld and Claudia Schiffer had a very special relationship. Lagerfeld discovered her as a model in the late 1980s and regularly sent her down the catwalk for Chanel. When Claudia Schiffer heard about Lagerfeld’s death, she said goodbye with the touching words. “You turned a shy girl into a supermodel”.

Their relationship is being reflected in an endless number of photos Karl made of Claudia. My series “Hommage to Karl Lagerfeld” picks up his best shots of Claudia Schiffer in my own interpretation.
